3 Expressions is an exhibit currently on view at the Judith Klein Art Gallery. The work by 3 local artists comes together to create a visually diverse exhibit in fine art.
Judith Klein has created minimalistic romantic landscapes working in both paint and printmaking. Her work is reminiscent of the Mediterranean using strong color to accent the various stages of the day from intensely warm sunsets to cool mid-day reveries.
Lauren Meads painting employs the use of color to describe her unique studies of fruits and flowers that depart from the traditional. Both the palette and perspective have been exaggerated to create "small personalized portraits". Also on display are large paintings of her Cape Cod boating scenes.
Sheila Oliveira, works in black and white photography. This series of large prints in high contrast uses stone as the metaphor of the immortal. Throughout the visual work picturing Egyptian Hieroglyphics mixed with poetry to a scene from Mycenae, Greece the message is stone outlives everything remaining a permanent reminder of human frailty.
The exhibit is also open on Saturdays, 10:30am to 2:30pm
