Do you want to make a difference?
Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity?
Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter will be conducting a Community Volunteer Fair on Saturday, June 23, 2012, from 12:00PM – 3:00PM, at the Dartmouth Mall in Dartmouth. The public is invited to shop around for a volunteer opportunity. Representatives from a variety of organizations will staff tables in the middle of the mall and provide patrons with information about their mission, volunteer positions, and sign up individuals who are interested in volunteering. Please come out and join us – you can shop for a volunteer opportunity that matches your passion, learn new skills, share your experience, and make a difference within your community!
Some of the organizations that will be present include: Mercy Meals & More, South Coast Serves, Buttonwood Park Zoological Society, Dartmouth Lions, City of New Bedford, Coalition for Animals of Greater New Bedford, United Way, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mass Audubon, Coalition Against Poverty/Coalition for Social Justice, NorthStar Learning Center, Friends of Buttonwood Park, Forever Paws, Animal Advocates, BOLD Coalition, Girl Scouts of Eastern MA, Bristol Community College Tutor Program, CARE South Coast, Operation Clean Sweep, Youth Court, New Bedford National Historical Park and Save Buzzards Bay. The District Attorney’s Office is collaborating with the Dartmouth Mall and South Coast Serves to provide a venue and opportunities for the public to get involved in their communities and make a difference.
