Marilyn Morales presents: A Night in Havana ~ An Evening of Cuban Music
Pianist, composer and Cranberry Coast Concerts Artistic Director, Marilyn Morales shares several of her original works, including songs from her work-in-progress, an original musical entitled Across the Waters. Also on the program will be works by other noted Cuban composers including Ernesto Lecuona, Eduardo Sánchez de Fuentes and Ignacio Cervantes. Leaving Castro’s Cuba behind in 1971, Morales left with her family to Spain. The family lived in Spain for two and a half years before emigrating to America, settling in Miami, Florida. Morales has never returned to Cuba, but she brings the flavor of the island culture to CCC this summer! Special guests include Tenor vocalist Mike Duarte, Singer and Song Writer Katie Ketchum, Bassist Albert Iannuccilli and Drummer Randy Cloutier.
