From May 21st throug May 26,2012 The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center celebrates its season finale with one of the most unique and breathtaking ensembles in the world. MASS Ensemble, in addition to performances and interactive site installations, will build a giant Earth Harp, the world’s largest stringed instrument that will descend from the roof of The Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford. Part sculpture, part instrument, and part architecture, ABC TV hailed the Earth Harp as the ultimate musical instrument. The sound it creates is nothing short of remarkable and resembles that of an entire orchestral string section.
