Children who love the water and adventure will love Save The Bay’s week-long summer camps in Providence which promises children who have completed grades 2-4 hands-on, Bay-centric activities that are as much fun as they are educational. Headquartered at the Bay Center at Fields Point, BayCamp blends age-appropriate marine science and environmental education with shoreline-based fun. Stepping onboard one of Save The Bay’s marine vessels, campers head out to several different islands, including Prudence Island, to explore shorelines and salt marshes, integral breeding ground for fish and waterfowl. They’ll also have plenty of time for snorkeling, swimming and interactive lessons taught by BayCamp counselors. Along the way, they’ll test the quality of the water right from the vessel.
