MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH • THE HISTORY OF THE WAMSUTTA CLUB WITH PEGGI MEDEIROS • 1:00 PM
Historian, archivist, and preservation grant-writer Peggi Medeiros will share her research on the property located at 427 County Street in New Bedford, at what is today the Wamsutta Club. From its construction in 1821 by James and Sarah Rotch Arnold, through a series of additions in 1872 and the conversion of the “Rotch Place” to the Wamsutta Club in 1924, the property has many stories. This program will be preceded by a brief business meeting, and is arranged through the Friends of the RJD. No fee.
