The Town of Westport, Office of Veterans Services, announces that the 2021 Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 31, 2021.
We invite all Westport veterans and civic organizations to march in the parade, and all community residents to line the parade route, as a show of support to our local veterans and as a sign of respect for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
Parade participants will gather at 9:30 AM at the Town Hall parking lot at 816 Main Road. The parade will commence at approximately 10:00 AM with a wreath laying at the WWI monument in front of Town Hall, then will proceed along Main Road to Beech Grove Cemetery.
There will be a memorial service at the cemetery immediately following the parade. The service is to honor the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Services.
